Experiential Travel At Arabian Travel Market 

The main theme this year was experiential travel at Arabian travel market and why selling experiences matters. Issam Kazim, CEO, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing stated: “While we were showcasing the new developments in Dubai, such as the theme parks, the shopping malls and the Burj Khalifa, which were great to position us globally, the older parts, the souks, the abras, the spice and textile markets, those experiences are quite unique and the more we started taking travellers to these areas, we realised that the depth of Dubai’s offerings become much more relevant.”

Kazim also highlighted the importance of the social media revolution and Dubai’s continuous plans on working with bloggers and influencers to attract travellers to Dubai and the Middle East.

Experiential Travel At Arabian Travel Market

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is the leading, international travel and tourism event in the Middle East for inbound and outbound tourism professionals. The 24th edition of the mega-event, the largest ATM in its history, took place over four days in Dubai from April 24th to 27th, 2017 showcasing over 2,500 exhibiting companies across 12 halls at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Dubai is celebrating soaring visitor numbers, having attracted 4.57 million travellers in the first quarter of 2017, an 11% increase on the same period last year and the city continues to evolve and expand its tourism product.

Bloggers Speed Networking

The Bloggers Speed Networking event took place on the last day of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) allowing for UAE based and international bloggers to meet with the travel industry players. When asked about ATM, here is what some of the bloggers said:

Edcel Suyo, Dubai Travel Blog: This was my 2nd time to join the Blogger Speed Networking Session at the Arabian Travel Market. It was great to have a venue to meet people from the travel industry especially as a blogger. This makes it easier for us to find the right contacts to connect for future opportunities to collaborate. 

Khawar Jamie Ur Rasool, Dxb Blog: Its one of the best regional travel expo’s where travel professionals form all over the world come to participate. For bloggers its a heaven as you can easily make contacts. It was my second year participating in this event and just like  last year  I loved every bit of it.

The food, the people and the business I generated. The best part of ATM was meeting with other follow bloggers at the Blogger Speed Networking event, which helped me build some great contacts and possible business relations.

Expo2020 — Building Greatness

The Expo2020 is only a few years away, however the emirate’s leaders are already looking forward towards the final countdown. The Expo2020 Dubai is expected to boost the UAE’s GDP by 5%, to create more than 277,000 jobs and to attract 25 million visitors.
